Music is a borderless language uniting all souls!
Through music, love flows… from love, all music pours forth.

Various bands, performances, musical genres, and recordings fashioned a musical style uniting the worldly elements of fire, water, earth, and sky into a melded vision of what my music is… emotion through harmony, melody, and rhythm!

My most profound musical exploration arrived as Famous Blue Raincoat (FBR), a band courted by record companies and paraded across Canada.  FBR was a conglomeration of musical styles and essences, that forged its own sound and dynamic, in “mostly” its own fashion.  What a breeding ground of musical enlightenment!  I grew up musically, spiritually, and dynamically through the fostering of musical excellence this group of exceptional individuals created.  I owe much to the talent that was Frank Juskiw, and to the talent that is Brent Macnab. For their part in my musical life, I am very grateful.

Then it happened.  After years of dancing in the frustrations of the music biz, I walked away. The Business of music smothered my love of music and I simply disappeared.

When you realize that we all get into creating, for love, real or perceived, this is a devastating state of mind for any artist to be in.

The Joint Chiefs, a band of immense proportions, awakened my sleeping giant and, ultimately, returned this love of music back to me. Making music for music’s sake, just for fun, brought back a sense of spirit that had vacated my soul. A spirit that allowed me to once again enjoy this second language…this language of music!

The Chiefs continue and remain a privilege!

This rebirth and re-spiriting along with other aspirations, fuelled the recording of a solo project called Sleeping With Ghosts…these words…and this website. 

Does it matter if you jazz, or you rock, or you pop or you just classically maneuver???
 
Not in my world!

Take the diversity that music offers you…fashion a vocabulary based on harmony, melody, and rhythm…and make that your language.

Let it convey everything your heart has to say, and don’t hold back!
